Happy International Women’s Day my Sisters! ✨💃🏾♥️🎉
Women! We have many faces because we are multi-faceted.
At each stage of my life I reflect on the woman, and want to bow down and worship God yet again for her.
As I celebrate you today and everyday, I invite you to release these 3 extraordinary qualities you already have to shine more boldly and brightly in and around you.
For some strange reason, R Kelly’s song “when A woman’s fed up, there ain’t nothing you can do about it” just crossed my mind.
Whatever her motivation, when a woman has set her mind on a course of action, nothing and no one can dissuade her from pursuing it.
Les Brown, one of the world’s renown motivational speakers said,
“People change their life when they are sick and tired of being sick and tired. When they say, “I’ve had it!”"
What do you want to change in your life? Be resolute that you can and will go after it, then back up your intentions with consistent actions, and you will.
I cannot count how many stories I have heard of mothers’ ingenuity, of older sisters’ creativity.
Women “make a plan” - doing what they can with what they have to make a meal, an outfit, a home, a relationship stretch and last way past its utility.
Women are resourceful!
May I encourage you to not look at what you don’t have, but focus on putting what you do have to work, and you will be surprised as to how much it will work for you.
There is a story of a widow who asked for help because she felt she didn’t have anything of value to generate the income she needed to pay her deceased husband’s debt, and, creditors were threatening to take her sons into slavery if she could not come up with it.
The person she asked for help asked her what she had in her house and she replied “just a little oil”. She agreed to follow instructions she was given on how to take what she saw as “just a little oil” to generate entire barrels worth of oil, which she sold, and was able to pay those debts and have plenty left over for her and her sons.
Don’t look down at your experience, talents, skills, possessions as just a little. God has made you resourceful, and when you choose to apply what you have, you will be pleasantly surprised by how much you can multiply it.
The word “Comeback” had to have been coined by a woman. Oh my word! How is it even possible? To keep getting back up and forging forward like women do can only be an endowment bestowed by God.
At home, at work, in society, throughout history, women have shown themselves to be the most adversely affected yet, also, the most resilient to social, economic, political, environmental shaking.
Faith plays a great role in women’s staying power, as does the dream of “better” for their children, and the generations of women that come after them.
Many of us would testify that if it were not the resilience of our mothers, grandmothers, women leaders, we would not be where we are today.
You are more powerful than you realize, you can spring back from any setback, you can achieve anything because you are a woman, endowed with supernatural resilience to overcome and emerge victorious on the other side.
Happy International Women’s Day to you, Resolute, Resourceful, and Resilient Woman!
I love, celebrate, salute, and support you all the way ♥️
